We all Need a Break

So this morning, I was awaken by the loud shrieking of Baby Girl. She must have been screaming for awhile, because she only screams like that when she feels she's being ignored. I slowly got out of bed, picked her up, changed her diaper and made sure she was fed. M was definitely awake the whole time, but was pretending to be asleep.

After Baby Girl was happy, M told me that He had waken up 3 or 4 times to take care of her. He told me that she woke up about 5:30 and she kept waking up or wouldn't go back to sleep after that.

I looked at him and said, "No, she wasn't up at 5:30." Then he quickly said, "It was either 4:30 or 6. Something like that. I again told him that she wasn't up at those times either. The reason why I knew that was because I woke up at 3:30 and could not fall asleep until about 6:30. I said that the reason why she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep, was because it was morning time and she was ready to get up! Boy, I was really frustrated today with M.

Although today was not one of his helpful days, there are many, many times that M has stayed up with Baby Girl and has tried to keep Princess and OJ quiet while I took a nap. He helps me clean the house every so often and one time He even picked up our bedroom without being asked! I was away playing volleyball at the time.

Just like women, Men need to be shown appreciation for the things that they do. I just have to remember that we all need a break now and again. I am very grateful for M. I don't show him appreciation all the time and I should. I am very lucky to have a caring and helpful husband. Most of the time. :)
